COFE, the Central Oregon Flute Ensemble, was created in May of 2024 by Lisa Hakesley, Sue Steiger, and Ryan Zwahlen. We welcome all players, regardless of ability or background. No auditions are required to join. Our rehearsals are all about having fun and learning!
Sue and Ryan share directorial duties, while Lisa is the music librarian and administrator. All three are active in many ensembles in Central Oregon, including the Central Oregon Symphony, the Cascade Winds, the Bend Pops Orchestra, and numerous small ensembles. Sue and Ryan have extensive experience in music education and private flute instruction.
Rehearsal and Concert Calendar
Our next performance will be with the Bend Pops Orchestra at their March 16 concert, Pops Goes to the Movies!
Rehearsals:
Mondays: March 3 and March 10 @ 7:30 - 8:30 pm
Tuesdays: March 4 and March 11 @ 7 pm - 8:15 pm
Optional dress: Saturday, March 15, 12:30-ish (optional as in, if we need it, not that you don't have to come if we do meet!)
Concert:
Sunday, March 16, 2:00PM, Mountain View HS Auditorium
