I believe in the enjoyment of learning, listening to, and performing music. I like to find the balance between teaching the fundamentals and developing clear artistic expression. I also believe that while a lot of private, individual time is needed to learn to play an instrument, there can also be great joy in sharing that progress and development with a wider community. To that end, I strive to develop of community through my studio that gives back to our larger community. We’ll do this through outreach and performances, volunteering for various nonprofits, and developing connections and friendships with others in my studio.
